Challenge
Persistent Kitchen Tap Drip
A homeowner in Bangsar had a single-lever kitchen mixer tap dripping at around 10 drops per minute. The tap had been this way for three months and the cold-water side had become difficult to adjust.
What We Did
Ceramic cartridge removed and inspected — worn seal identified as the cause. Replacement cartridge installed, O-ring and base plate reseated, aerator descaled. Full flow and temperature range tested before leaving.
Outcome
Tap operates smoothly across the full range, no drip. Duration: 55 minutes. Cost: RM 245. Homeowner noted the aerator output had improved noticeably after the descaling.

Running Toilet Tank
A household in Ampang had a toilet cistern that audibly refilled every 8–12 minutes even when unused. Water bills had increased over the previous two months.
What We Did
Fill valve inspected and found to be passing water at the diaphragm seal. Valve replaced with a compatible bottom-fill unit. Water level reset to the manufacturer fill line and outlet seals checked.
Outcome
Tank fills once on flush and holds water correctly. No further cycling. Duration: 70 minutes including bidet hose inspection at the same visit. Cost: RM 285.

Bathroom Renovation Rough-In
A homeowner in Cheras was renovating the guest bathroom with a new layout — moving the basin and adding a shower area where a window alcove had been. Plumbing needed to be repositioned before the tiler started.
What We Did
Water lines rerouted to new basin position and shower area. Drain positions aligned with the client's fixture specs. Mounting points confirmed with the homeowner and tiling contractor on-site before the rough-in was sealed.
Outcome
Tiling proceeded the following week without any revision to pipe positions. Fixtures installed by the client's ID team fitted the mounting points correctly. Cost: RM 1,400.
